Coronavirus: what you need to know, what you need to do

The coronavirus: what is it?

The “coronavirus,” also called Covid 19, officially became pandemic. It is sadly spreading throughout the world.

It is a virus that belongs to the “coronavirus” group. In this group, you can find common cold as well as other forms such as Sars and Mers. They all share a crown shape hence its name’s root “corona,” which means “crown,” “wreath.”

Its official name is Covid 19: Co for Corona, vid for virus, 19 because it started in 2019. It is also called “novel” because we’ve never seen anything like it before.

The novel coronavirus is particularly close to the Sars virus. It causes respiratory tract infections and is lethal.

The novel coronavirus: the symptoms

Regarding this new virus’ symptoms, the majority of infected people appear to have mildinfections, such as mild cold-like symptoms and fever, not to mention those who have no symptoms. There are also case reports of asymptomatic carriers. However, most people who contract COVID-19 do seem to develop symptoms.

Reported symptoms in adults include:

  • Fever (which may not be present in the very young or very old, or immunocompromised)
  • Upper respiratory symptoms such as cough, sore throat, nasal congestion, malaise, headache, muscle aches
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Mild pneumonia
  • Severe pneumonia (or severe acute respiratory infection (SARI))
  • Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS)
  • Sepsis and Septic shock

It is reported that children seem less vulnerable to infection and appear to have milder symptoms than adults. There have been no reported deaths of children from 0 to 9 years of age. A small study of 9 infants under 1 year of age infected with COVID-19 found that none of the infants had severe illness or complications. One had no symptoms, 2 had mild upper respiratory tract symptoms, and 4 had a fever. (study)

Pregnant women also do not appear to be at greater risk for complications. In a study of 9 women in Wuhan in their third trimester of pregnancy with confirmed and symptomatic COVID-19 infection, none developed severe pneumonia or died. All gave birth via c-section to healthy-appearing babies with normal Apgar scores. No virus was found in amniotic fluid, cord blood, or breastmilk. (study)

However, don’t get fooled by the statistics!

Some experts say that the majority of people contaminated are more than 50 years old men. Some claim that if you’re not on this group, you don’t risk anything.

But what about the “minority” of young people, young men, and women who died from it? What about this 29 years-old Chinese doctor who finally died from it (article)? A doctor who was used to dealing with bacterias and viruses in his work life at the hospital? Thus, developing a stronger immune system than everybody else?

Not to mention the figures’ reliability. Are the figures given out by the media reliable?

The biomedical experts indeed suggest that infection and fatality numbers are up to 10 times higher than what is being reported in the media. It is due to many reasons, such as incomplete data from the agencies not reporting infections quickly enough, the governments’ incomplete data, the shortage of coronavirus test kits, the hospitals turning away patients, and the infected people dying in their homes. (study).

In short, while doctors and scientists are still refining their knowledge of the virus, the degree of the governments’ common sense, the hospital’s organization, and financial means, the media’s need for buzz will impact the figures. Therefore not only will the stats change, but it will not always be close to reality.

To sum up, we don’t know that much, and we will never really know what’s going on.

While you read this, and if you keep watching the news on TV, you’re highly likely to panic.

But is it worth panicking?

The answer is a big NO.

The immune system: the great forgotten

This information indeed seems alarming. But, there is something that everyone seems to forget: the immune system’s basic functioning in physiology.

What everyone seems to forget is that absolutely NO viruses, whether it is coronavirus or influenza, can reach individuals with robust immune systems. It is a scientific fact. One of the first things you learn when you study medicine.

The immune system’s primary function is to protect you. It can be seen as the first line defence of the body: it destroys all the pathogens and cleans up the cells. So, when you have a healthy immune system, nothing can contaminate you.

So, why do we see this increasing number of diagnosed cases and deaths? Why did young people die from it? When you’re young, you automatically have a strong immune system. If so, why does so many young people die from this disease?

Well, not exactly. Diseases are no longer always associated with age. Many things have changed since 1920… Today, in 2020, we now know for sure that:

Health depends on your lifestyle. So does your immune system.

The immune system, like all the other body systems, need specific nutrients to build their “weapons” to multiply. It needs proper physical exercises, less pollution, less heavy metals, and, most importantly, stable emotions: emotional stress is one of its worse enemies.

And what about genetics, then?

Genetics play a role in having poor health or immune system for sure but remember: your lifestyle will activate your poor genes… Or deactivate them.

Once you know that, you can take action, and fear will go away.

Take action

If you want to have a strong immune system, you will have to check these points:

Protective measures

Basic measures such as washing your hands for 20 seconds, avoiding public places, wearing face masks when sick or more complex measures such as air filters cannot be ignored. And not to forget the possible public panic, the run on food and the industrial shutdown as we see in China. It’s always best to be prepared. I talk about it in my “Ultimate Guide of Natural Strategies to Prevent Viruses.”

Lifestyle

The number one rule to respect: having a good night’s sleep. It is essential to keep a strong immune system. (study)

But we can also consider:

  • Regular exercises are important for health in general, but caution with excessive exercises as they will shut down the immune system. Not to mention gyms are not safe places.
  • We can also talk about sun exposure. It is also necessary to produce vitamin D. And you’ve probably heard of the vitamin D’s beneficial effects on the immune system.
  • Saline sprays, neti pots, humidifiers, ointments are interesting options against viruses.
  • And finally, smoking cigarettes, medicinal marijuana, have mostly been shown to weaken the lungs. The e-cigarette users should be careful too because, despite the very few long-term studies on vaping, it has not shown any beneficial effects on health, particularly on the lungs. If it decreases the air quality, it makes sense it won’t have any positive effects on the lungs, the target organ for the coronavirus. (study)

You can find more details about it in my “Ultimate Guide of Natural Strategies to Prevent Viruses.”

Medications

Synthetic drugs are known to cause long-term damage to health. The antibiotics, the steroids, the allergy medications, the antacids all have negative effects on immunity (GI damage, infections, yeast overgrowth, immune system’s shutdown…). If you take any of them, ask your doctor for other medications, or use natural alternatives. There are many of them.

I mentioned some of them for all the medications quoted above in my “Ultimate Guide of Natural Strategies to Prevent Viruses.”

EMFs

It’s invisible, helpful, attractive, sometimes unavoidable at work: the EMF’s or the Electromagnetic Frequencies: wi-fi, 5G, bluetooth… They surround us every day, every night. But they are shown to increase the replication of all types of pathogens. (study) (study) Are you often exposed to computers, wi-fi, 5G etc.? Check it out.

If so, and it is probably the case, avoid them as much as you can. And don’t forget to go out in the wild; the best place to charge your negative ion batteries.

The EMF’s must not be neglected if you want to have a strong immune system.

Foods

What do you eat and drink? Junk food? Veggies? Sodas?

Food brings all the nutrients needed by the immune system. Vitamin C, vitamin D, zinc, and omega 3 are the most notorious nutrients to boost this body system.

But you’ll also have to include proteins that will be used to produce the antibodies. Particular foods effectively combat viruses, such as honey and mushrooms, while some can suppress the immune system, like sugar and alcohol.

On a happier note, there has been evidence showing some vegetables contained a specific type of phenolic acid, called “caffeic acid.”. This substance is able to stop the human coronavirus NL 63’s replication. They are found in cruciferous vegetables as well as in some culinary herbs.

You will find all of them in my “Ultimate Guide of Natural Strategies to Prevent Viruses,” as well as explanations on nutrients, the right dosages, mushrooms’ dosages, and contraindications.

Supplements

Take supplements if you’re deficient in minerals or vitamins. The body systems can’t work well if there is a deficiency. Supplements can help boost the immune system a lot, as well. The classics: vitamin C, vitamin D, and others such as bee propolis, probiotics, echinacea

In my “Ultimate Guide of Natural Strategies to Prevent Viruses,” I selected the best antiviral supplements, nutrients, and herbs backed up by research. I also talk about the right dosages, the possible contraindications, the potential drug interactions with them so you can choose more efficiently.

Essential oils

When they are of high quality, they offer huge antiviral and antiseptic properties. Boswellia, frankincense, Ravintsara are among the best in this area. Diffuse them in your home.

I mention the best essential oils in my “Ultimate Guide of Natural Strategies to Prevent Viruses,” all of which are backed up by studies. I also talk about possible contraindications.

Essential oils are very powerful: do not ingest them, do not put them pure on the skin except if the practitioners mention it, do not put them in the eyes, avoid them if you have pets.

Emotions

Negative emotions that last too long are known to impact physical health. Emotional stress reduces the immune system’s capabilities. It is extremely important not to fall into fear due to coronavirus’ media coverage, for example.

Tune into yourself, respect your biological rhythm: have rest, and some fun as well! Energy is life; life is health.

Final Thoughts

Covid 19 is a lethal virus once you’re contaminated. Researchers keep conducting studies and testing experimental drugs to fight this virus, in other words, to find a vaccine against it. According to the article “Coronavirus, guariti i tre pazienti curati a Roma: il farmaco studiato contro l’Ebola fa sperare i medici” from the Italian newspaper “Corriere della sera”, an experimental drug called “Remdesivir” made by an American company, which was initially studied to combat the ebola virus, has promising effects against Covid19. Bruce Aylward, the World Health Organization head of mission in China, said: “it could be the solution.” The combination with another drug called “Spallanzani” gave excellent results on three patients in Rome hospital.

This gives a lot of hope. But waiting for experts to find a miracle remedy is not going to help you if you’re not contaminated.

With this pandemic virus, it is time to understand that each of us should take charge of our health; and, more particularly, our lifestyle. Lifestyle is key to giving us illnesses or strong health. If you follow a natural diet, do some exercise daily, keep an eye on your emotions, in short, if you tune into your body and emotions, if you respect your biological rhythm, the virus could never thrive. The virus could not find a place (your body) to multiply; it will die.

This new virus is here to remind us of the notion of “self-respect.” When you eat junk food, watch Netflix series for hours, work until midnight while taking caffeine to stay awake, what kind of action do you think you’re taking towards your body? It is actually a deep, unconscious contempt towards it. This behavior shows a disconnection between you, your body, and the environment. In short, a profound disconnection between you and your humanity.

More and more viruses will appear and thrive if nobody takes personal, real, and respectful actions towards themselves, their bodies, and minds.

It is never late to start. Take back your life in your hands.
